Graduated from the famous Design Academy in Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel live and work together in the studio founded by Smeets in Antwerp. 
Since the very beginning, their collaboration proved to be highly expressive producing unique works of art or limited editions, often bronze sculptures, slip casting ceramics or pieces produced with extremely sophisticated inlay techniques. 
Their exceptional collections seem to spring from a typically medieval corporative process more than from an industrial approach. The use of iconographic or historical images, as well as cartoons or heraldic decorations, makes the results decidedly monumental, although they never lose their essential nature. 
Their collaboration with VENINI started in 2010.
