“Rhythm is not a simple lamp but a real lighting system.
The idea was born from the idea of creating a modular element that could be combined in various ways to generate exclusive and specific installations based on the setting and the function.
Then it was interpreted using the technique, typical of the Murano tradition, of blowing the glass inside metal structures, in order to make lanterns.
I M Lab has devised a form that can be reproduced and combined in various ways, each time creating unique configurations.
Alessandro Isola, Supriya Mankad
Designer
Supriya Mankad and Alessandro Isola graduated in 2003 at the Architectural Association in London and continued working with the famous architectural firm Foster + Partners before they launched their own business in 2008. Their experience ranges from small-size furniture and product design to large scale buildings and concerns every part of the project, from the initial idea to the final execution. The two architects have collaborated on various occasions and share a common passion for exploring the relationship between technique and materiality as they try to push the limits of both in developing products and spaces.
