The results of their collaboration have reaped universal acclaim due to the novel and visionary nature of their works. Together with their team of collaborators in Asymptote, Hani and Lise Anne have developed important masterplans, buildings, design objects, and art installations. Their two most representative buildings are no doubt the Yas Marina Hotel in Abu Dabi and the ARC Multimedia Museum in Daegu, South Korea.
Asymptote’s projects are exhibited in many museum collections, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Netherlands Institute of Architecture (NAI) in Rotterdam, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMoma), the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Frac Centre in Orléans, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. The work of Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture has been the topic of five important monographs. Among the main awards the design firm has received as an acknowledgment of the fusion between art and architecture represented in its extraordinary creations, Asymptote can boast the AIA Award for Architecture, the Middle Eastern Architecture Awards, the Grand Prix de l’Architecture and the Frederick Kiesler Prize. Their collaboration with VENINI, however, is very recent – it began in 2019.
