80 series was created in 1946: the combination of clean lines and bright colours still make it a classic appreciated by connoisseurs all over the world Its absolute originality derives from the alternation of curved arms, each in glass of a different colour.

Designer
Der Architekt und Designer Gio Ponti ist dafür bekannt, dass er Häuser, öffentliche Gebäude und Alltagsgegenstände entworfen und sich damit auch in der Welt der Malerei und Szenografie ausgezeichnet hat.
Einige Mailänder Gebäude stammen aus den 1930er Jahren und stehen für die neuen architektonischen Trends der Zeit: das Turmhaus in Corso Venezia, die Gebäude Rai und Ferrania, der Torre Littoria im Park Sempione.
1956 entwarf er den Wolkenkratzer Pirelli und widmete sich dann wichtigen Wohnkomplexen in Europa, dem Mittleren Osten, Kanada, den Vereinigten Staaten und Südamerika. In den 1920er Jahren begann er seine Zusammenarbeit mit VENINI und entwarf Leuchten und Objekte.
