They are works with textured surfaces resulting in a remarkable visual impact.
Their strong symbolic value is characterized by soft and sinuous shapes forged and modeled by means of fire, then enriched on the surface of the glass by the graphic sign of the cold processing.
The delicate colours recall the shades of the spring, becoming paler and paler until they are crystal clear; this attention to detail makes the glass all the more precious and beautiful.
Designer
Michela Cattai currently lives in Milan and attended the Accademia di Belle Arti. She was selected to participate in a collective exhibition at the Glass Museum in Murano. Despite her residence in Milan, her heart remained forever linked to Venice, where she decided to continue her studies on glass inside the Fornace (Kiln) to personally experiment with the practice of hand-blown glass. In April of 2017, Michela was invited to present her research on glass in an exhibition at the Italian Chamber of Deputies, in the Sala del Cenacolo, in Rome. Furthermore, she participated in various exhibitions, both personal and collective, and her works are displayed in private collections and international museums alike.
