Gae Aulenti
Designer
Graduated in architecture in 1954 at the Politecnico di Milano, Gae Aulenti was active in the editorial board of Casabella from 1955 to 1965.
For the remaining part of the 1960s, she worked as an assistant at the University in Venice teaching courses in Architectural Composition under the direction of Giuseppe Samonà and then in Milan under Ernesto N. Rogers.
Her projects have been published in Italy and abroad and range from architecture to interior and industrial design as well as exhibition design and stage design for theatre. Some of her most famous architectural works include the reconstruction of the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and of Palazzo Grassi in Venice. Her collaboration with VENINI began in 1993.
