Giorgio Vigna
Designer
Giorgio Vigna was born in Verona in 1955; he rounded out his artistic background in his hometown first, then in Venice, where he worked with VENINI, as well as in Rome and Milan. Poised between reality and imagination, he creates natural shapes that have strong primary and primordial aspects. Ranging from sculptures to jewellery, from paper works to installations, Giorgio Vigna’s art reflects his great passion for experimentation as well as constant and extensive research in materials, including glass and metal. In 2013, he held his solo exhibition Stati Naturali at the Castelvecchio Museum in Verona, which included Acquaria, a permanent glass installation that the artist created for the fountain of Carlo Scarpa.
