Francesco Lucchese

Designer

Born in the province of Messina in 1960, Francesco Lucchese graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano in March of 1985. In June of the same year, he won first prize at the Spazi Collettivi contest with his project for a foldable chair called “Traslazione”.
Over time, his activity as a designer became increasingly focused on the communicative ability of light and on the expressive power of colours in all their hues. This is the fil rouge in his design work.
Currently, he is a Lecturer at the Design Faculty of the Politecnico di Milano and is active as a speaker at various conferences and seminars in Italy and abroad. He has been collaborating with VENINI since 1992, both on the design of lamps and objects.
