Like desert plants.
Futuristic architecture.
Ritagli (‘Scraps’) uses a glassmaking technique devised by Fulvio Bianconi, the most innovative and suggestive of the twentieth century: small rectangular glass strips applied one on top of the other, on a base of a truncated cone which has been blown and worked by hand.
Iridescent green and aquamarine, iridescent sand and red meet on a contour that seems to have always been in existence, yet it is dated 1989.

Designer

Vittorio Zecchin attended the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice and subsequently presented a series of glass objects made at the Barovier glass factory with painter Teodoro Wolf Ferrari at the 1914 Biennale.
During the First World War, he set up a tapestry workshop in a former convent in Murano. In those same years, he exhibited his works – artistic glasses, tapestries, embroideries, and paintings, at the Biennale exhibitions in Venice, Milan, Rome, Monza, Turin, and Paris. He also taught the subject of glass and glassmaking at the Abate Zanetti school in Murano.
From 1921 to 1925, he worked as artistic director of the company Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin Venini & C.” and became one of the main exponents and most important innovators in the art of Murano glassmaking.
